My Review: 

I was literally shaking as I finished this book at 3:30am last night. So overwhelmed by emotions, I didn’t know what to do with myself as I lay staring into the darkness for the next few hours. I could see the characters of the book in each song that came on through my headphones. I have read a lot of books in my life and NEVER have I been affected by one as much as this.

Sarah J. Maas sweeps from ACOMAF into ACOWAR flawlessly. I was worried that I wouldn’t love this one as much as I loved the last one but I DON’T EVEN KNOW! A Court of Wings and Ruin gave us a glimpse into many more of the courts of Prythian and introduced some fantastic new characters! It kept me on the edge of seat, toes curled and heart frantic for at least half of it, with no breaks, while the other half was filled with cunning, growth and companionship.

The bond between the Inner Circle only grew stronger, and I think I could be content to read about this group, my favourite characters, for the rest of my life without ever tiring of them. While they remained the same quirky, fun-loving, characters we grew to adore in the last book, they all seemed to individually grow, and shine that much more. Amidst the war with Hybern, it became even more evident why they are called The Court of Dreams. Immaculate displays of love and hope through sacrifice tore my heart into shreds, yet wove it together anew at the same time. I didn’t think it was possible for my love for this series, these characters, this world, to grow anymore, but grow it did.

Rhys and Feyre are officially the OTP that trumps all of my other OTPs. This book was absolutely incredible, and I’m going to need a solid few days of recovery from it at the very least! I already know that there will be many rereads to come, because I can’t picture my future without this amazing series in it. I can’t wait for the series continuation with new characters (though I wish it was still the old ones)!!!
